Crewe Alexandra would like to thank Andrew Scoffin and Ian Raisbeck for Tuesday evening's Remembrance tribute before our Papa John's Trophy fixture with Shrewsbury Town.

Ahead of the game, Andrew recited The Exhortation which was followed by a rendition of the Last Post by local brass player, Ian Raisbeck to pay tribute to the fallen servicemen, women and former players as part of Remembrance Sunday commemorations and the First World War Centenary.

On the evening, before kick-off, David Richards and Ethan Ebanks-Landell laid a wreath on the halfway line.

'At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.'
