David Artell has told the club’s official website that the ‘people at Peterborough are proper football people’ who know and appreciate the game.
The Alex take on the current league leaders at Gresty Road this weekend and Artell is looking forward to pitting his wits against one of the EFL’s most experienced managers in Darren Ferguson. Artell has also stated that Posh owner and chairman, Darragh MacAnthony is a ‘real footballer person’ and only wants the best for his club.
Artell said: “I know that the people at Peterborough have been complimentary of our club and our players and they are a good people. They are proper football people there and they have their own philosophy on development and moving forward.
“I think they are run really well and how many chairman's do you know produces his own podcast for the fans? You don’t do that if you are not a football person and have a passion for the game.
“He may like five or six of our players and that is great. It shows that we are doing something right and that we have a decent crop of young players here.
“Darren (Ferguson) is a fantastic manager in his own right and has been in the game for a long time a as a player and manager. He is also the son of arguably the finest manager this country has ever seen, so he has been around clubs and the game for years and is very experienced and knowledgeable.”
