18 November 2020

Alex defender has successful operation after extent of his hamstring injury revealed by futher scan.

Crewe Alexandra are set to be without defender Donervon Daniels after a scan revealed that he has a grade 3 hamstring tear.

After successfully undergoing an operation, the summer signing from Luton Town is expected to be out until at least past the New Year as he recovers.

The former Wigan Athletic, West Brom and Doncaster Rovers defender made his Alex debut against Newcastle United Under-21s in the EFL Trophy and started the next league game against Wigan Athletic.

Daniels, 26, was unable to continue though after picking up an injury in the first 15 minutes whilst having a shot saved in our 3-0 win and he had to be replaced by Omar Beckles.

Everyone at Crewe Alexandra wishes Donervon a speedy recovery from his set-back.
