Better defensively but important we do the business at the other end of the pitch as well...
Crewe Alexandra manager, David Artell, says that his side have to strike the right balance between defence and attack.
The Alex have certainly improved the goals against column this season, conceding just 8 goals in the opening nine goals - but have also failed to score in six games in League One this season.
Ahead of this evening’s home game against Gillingham, the boss said: “The goals against has been a big positive for us because we have worked hard with the players on that.
“We have become harder to beat and to score against, but it is about striking that balance. I wouldn’t say we are a defensively minded team and we are pleased with the way we have defended most of the time.
“We have to be better at the other end of the pitch as well. We have created a number of chances in the games but have made the wrong decision at the crucial moment or not quite chosen the right finish but it is better to still be getting those chances than not.
“We have to be confident that we can start taking more of them.”
