Artell Looking Forward To Peterborough Challenge

13 November 2020

David Artell says that his Crewe Alexandra side will have to be at top level if they are to compete with league leaders, Peterborough United, tomorrow.

Once the Alex face Darren Ferguson’s side at Gresty Road they have faced the top six in the opening 11 games of the season.

The Crewe boss told the club’s official website: “We have another tough game against Peterborough. We have played most of the top teams now and we know that we can play to our potential then we can give anyone a game.

“It is all down to the performance and if we can play well then we have a chance. We have shown that we can compete and now it is just a question of doing that little bit more to cross that line and make sure we get what the performance deserves.

“We went to Ipswich and battered them but ended up losing the game. We didn’t take our chances on the day and it was the same against Gillingham, so we know we have to improve on that score and continue to defend well.

“If we can do that then Peterborough will know they have been in a game. I am looking forward to it, it will be another good game of football because that is the way Darren (Ferguson) likes his teams to play."
