David Artell says there will be lessons to learn from Saturday’s FA Cup exit to Cheltenham Town. The Alex were defeated 2-1 in extra-time at the Jonny Rocks Stadium and afterwards the Alex boss stated that too many of his players were below par.
As the club prepare for League One action against Swindon Town tomorrow night, the boss said: “I’ve had a chat with a few of them and we will go through the video and prepare for Swindon.
“We don’t get carried away when we win and don’t get too down when we lose. I don’t condone losing games and no-one here likes it. Defeats are part of football, you have to accept it but you have to move on quickly.
“The games are coming thick and fast and you make sure you get a defeat out of the system as quickly as possible.
“Swindon is a new opponent and a new challenge and we will be ready to go again.”
