Team News Ahead Of Stevenage Visit

6 March 2020

Crewe Alexandra manager David Artell has revealed that he is almost working with a clean bill of health. The Alex only have three players out of contention for this weekend’s home game against Stevenage and Artell says that is almost the perfect situation to be in as we enter the crucial run-in.

Crewe are without only one senior player with defender Eddie Nolan still ruled out with a trapped nerve in his back. Youngsters Lewis Reilly (knee) and Rio Adebisi (ankle) are out but are making good progress.

Artell informed crewealex.net: “Eddie is still away from returning but he is making steady progress.

“Lewis is now out of his boot and is out jogging and Rio’s infection in his ankle has gone away, so we are hopeful that he won’t be too long either.

“Therefore, we are in fairly good shape. You have one or two with some niggles and knocks during the week but we nurse them through and recover right.

“I pick a side that I think will get us the three points and with 10 games to go, I’ve got to keep doing that to get us over the line.”
