The Directors of Crewe Alexandra Group Ltd met today for the inaugural board meeting follow the successful acquisition of Norman Hassall’s shareholding. Crewe Alexandra Group Limited is the new company, which controls Crewe Alexandra Football Club and all of its interests.

Supporters who are long-standing shareholders have been receiving documentation, which enables us to tidy-up the many administrative matters; most importantly ensuring everyone becomes a shareholder of the new Crewe Alexandra Group Limited.

Crewe Alexandra is 143 years old and thanks to local Directors and shareholders, together with new shareholders and support from Mornflake we now have stakeholders who are united in taking Crewe Alexandra forward and being successful for the benefit of the town as a whole and the football community in particular.

The last 10 years have been extremely challenging but we have brilliant fans and wonderful staff supporting our club and everyone has done a superb job under trying circumstances. On the pitch, Dave and Kenny are giving us a reason to be proud of our team representing our community.

Later this evening we have our first fans forum with the new Board, when we will be able to engage with supporters and answer immediate questions.

The new Directors will start to examine all aspects of Crewe Alexandra, its strategy and its operation both on and off the pitch and we will keep supporters and shareholders up to date with the progress and plans.
