Artell: "Away Form Is Decent But We Need To Be Picking Up Wins"

David Artell says the main objective of acquiring three points was fairly comfortably achieved against bottom side Stevenage at the weekend and the boss says that the result taking us to the top of the league is where we want to be.

Crewe head to Mansfield this weekend aiming to record an 8th away win of the campaign. Crewe have the 5th best away record in the division to go along with the best home record.

Ahead of our trip to Field Mill this weekend, the Alex boss said: “We got the three points and that was the main thing. The performance was about there and we did some good things.

“The final goal of the game in the last minute annoyed me. We now have three tough games in 8 days and we will see where that takes us.

“Our home record has been good and it has been decent for 18 month. Our away form has greatly improved this season and we have been a tough nut to crack lately but we haven’t won as many as we would have liked.

“Saying that it is one defeat in six away games and that came at Plymouth when we were the better team on the day.”
