Crewe Alexandra are pleased to announce that striker Chris Porter has signed an initial one year contract extension to keep him at Gresty Road.

The experienced forward played a key role in our promotion from League Two last season, scoring 14 goals in 31 appearances for Dave Artell’s side.

Porter has been stand out performer for Crewe since his arrival in South Cheshire in the summer of 2017 with 41 goals in an Alex shirt.

Formerly of Sheffield United and Derby, the 36-year-old will now look to continue his form for the Railwaymen in League One when Crewe get back to action.

Porter’s new contract initially runs until the end of the 2020/21 season.
