#Project250 Hits 160K But Still Need Supporters Help

25 January 2020

Now is the time to really get involved with having your say on the board.

Thursday night saw Richard Benson from The Railwaymen (https://www.facebook.com/therailwaymensg) go on BBC Radio Stoke’s Praise and Grumble show to talk about #Project250.

Richard was able to pass across lots of information about #Project250 and most importantly updated the fans that we have now reached the £160k mark towards the total of £250k that is required.

The message to the fans was clear, if they want #Project250 to be a success and enable the Railwaymen Supporters Society to buy their shares in the football, they need to come forward now and purchase memberships before the 31st January.

This can be done by visiting the website (www.railwaymen.co.uk) and downloading a membership form (https://railwaymen.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/The-Railwaymen-Supporters-Society-Membership-Form.pdf) and then transferring the funds across.

The show can be listened to again by visiting the BBC Sounds page at https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p07y8br3 and starting at 26 minutes into the show. It’s a great insight into what #Project250 is trying to achieve.

If you have any questions at all, the Railwaymen can be contacted on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/therailwaymensg), Twitter (https://twitter.com/therailwaymensg) or emailed on info@railwaymen.co.uk.

The Railwaymen will also all be available at Saturdays game vs Cheltenham from 12:30 to talk to and get information from. We will also have some printed membership forms for you if you need one. We’ll be in the following locations so keep an eye out for the people shown here (https://railwaymen.co.uk/index.php/about/):

    • Carlsberg Lounge
    • Alexandra Suite
    • Outside the Club Shop and Ticket Office
    • Concourse in the Main Stand

The Railwaymen need all Crewe Alex fans to come together now and get involved if they are interested so we can make sure they hit the target of £250k. We do have the momentum now, let’s not waste this brilliant opportunity that the fans have!
