It’s another away fixture for Crewe this weekend, with the Alex making the trip to Walsall in SkyBet League Two.

Dave Artell’s were 2-0 winners over Leyton Orient on Tuesday night, with Charlie Kirk and Daniel Powell netting at Gresty Road.

Whereas the hosts were defeated in midweek. They lost 2-0 at home to 23rd-placed Morecambe on Tuesday.

Crewe won the reverse fixture back in August, with Eddie Nolan netting the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win at Gresty Road.

Crewe: Deadline Day signing Stephen Walker could make his debut for the Alex.  Dave Artell confirmed the club would assess Chuma Anene, after the Norwegian struggled through Tuesday’s win against Leyton Orient with a dead leg.

Walsall: Saddlers boss Darrell Clarke said his side have “rebooted”, following consecutive defeats. They did strengthen their squad in January, with Jack Nolan signing from Reading, and Nathan Sheron joining on loan from Fleetwood Town.
