Notts: "My Aim Is To Win As Many Games As We Can And Hopefully Gain Promotion"

16 January 2020

It's been quite a day for Michael Nottingham, who trained with his new team mates for the first time since joining from Blackpool.

The Saint Kitts and Nevis international has joined the Alex until the end of the season and is hoping to add another promotion to his CV.

Notts said: “When I found out about Crewe, straight away I had only heard good things about the club and I was interested immediately. I know they play good football and I’ve just seen the facilities which are unbelievable. So, in the end it was a no brainer for me to sign and get some football.”

He continued by saying: “I just want to do the best that I can do, I’m here until the end-of-the-season and I just want to get as many games as I possibly can under my belt. My aim is to win as many games as we can and hopefully gain promotion.”

Whilst working his way up the leagues, the versatile defender clinched promotions at Solihull Moors and Salford City in which he was also named in team-of-the-year three years on the run.

He added: “I’ve enjoyed every moment of coming up through the non-league system, it’s been a strange journey for me, but one I am proud of. I’ve learnt so much along the way and played with some great players. So, I want to keep this journey going.”

After linking up with the squad, Michael could potentially make his debut against Cheltenham on Saturday.
