Anene hoping to get the three points this evening for the travelling Alex fans.

Chuma Anene has told iFollow the Alex that it is important that Crewe Alexandra build on Saturday’s 1-0 win over Cheltenham by following that up with another positive result away at Macclesfield this evening.

Anene, who has netted 9 goals whilst on loan, is targeting another three points tonight, so we can become even closer to front runners, Swindon Town and Exeter City at the top of the table.

The Norwegian told us: “We wanted to get back to winning ways again against Cheltenham after losing back-to-back games and we managed to do that. It was important and now we want to maintain that streak again.

“We want to go on another unbeaten run and if that becomes a winning streak then that’s even better.

“You are going to have those types of games (against Cheltenham) where it is tight and one goal might decide it. You have to grind out those results and make sure you edge it.

“Of course, we would like to score four or five every game but those 1-0, 2-1 wins are vital as well.

Chuma said about tonight’s Cheshire showdown: “It is very good for the team to have that many supporters going to the game. The support is fantastic and hopefully we can go there and get them the present they deserve, which will be the three points.

“Every game is important now. They are all massive points and we want to win as many games as we can from now until the end of the season and see where that takes us.

“In my opinion we are the best team in the league and we have to keep on showing it and make sure we do everything we can to get the results we will need.”
