Boss praise for Mbulu's incredible professionalism
Christian Mbulu has left the club following the end of his short-term deal and signed for Morecambe. Mbulu, 23, made seven appearances for Crewe and helped the club reach the third round of the FA Cup with his solid performances against Accrington Stanley and Eastleigh.
The Plymouth-born defender trained with us for much of the pre-season and kept in touch with boss David Artell. When Olly Lancashire was ruled out with a long-term Achilles injury in October, the Crewe boss signed the former Millwall and Motherwell man on a short-term deal until January.
Everyone at Crewe wishes the likeable defender all the very best.
David Artell said of the Plymouth-born defender: "Christian is a one of the best professionals I've ever seen. He trained every day and worked hard every day. He was never any trouble and was very honest and we were with him. He knows that.
"He goes to Morecambe with our best wishes and I know he will do a job for them up there."
