David Artell has told the club’s official website that he is pleased with Charlie Kirk’s impressive numbers as a potential match winner for us but he stresses that the talented winger can score even more goals.

Kirk made a superb contribution in 2019 with 15 key assists and 15 goals over the calendar year and he has started 2020 on the same level. He has already created goals for Paul Green against Barnsley in the FA Cup and for Chuma Anene at Swindon last weekend.

This season, the former Academy graduate has scored six goals and assisted a further 11.

David told crewealex.net: “Charlie has great ability and he has been in terrific form this season. He has laid on goals for his team-mates lately but he shouldn’t just be satisfied with just that because he should score more goals.

“He is more than capable of scoring more goals. He has shown that with the six he has got this season and I’m sure he will be looking to beat last season’s tally at least.”
