Boss: "Michael Has Cheltenham Well Drilled"

David Artell expecting another tough test in another important promotion encounter.

Crewe boss David Artell expects another tough League Two encounter against Cheltenham Town this weekend.

Michael Duff brings his in-form Cheltenham Town side to Gresty Road with the Robins in third place with just a superior goal difference over Crewe. Duff’s side have conceded just 21 goals this season, to make them the best defensive unit in the division.

The Railwaymen will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat to league leaders Swindon Town last weekend. The 3-1 defeat saw us lose the third automatic spot to this weekend’s visitors.

Ahead of the intriguing clash at Gresty Road, Artell told the club’s official website: “It will be a tough game but they are all. It doesn’t matter if you are playing Cheltenham, Oldham, Stevenage or Morecambe.

“The game was close affair down there. We could have won it and they could have won it after we had Perry (Ng) sent off, so a draw was probably a fair result in the end.

“We are at home and that gives us a little bit of an advantage. The difference in League Two  is not that massive and our away form has been just as good as our home form.

“Cheltenham are well drilled, organised and have proved that they are hard to beat. The defeat at Swindon was not ideal last week but we have to dust ourselves off and go again.

He added: “We have to bounce back. Get back on the horse and do everything we can to make sure we get the three points.”
