Manager Artell says that we will move on quickly from Swindon defeat
Crewe Alexandra manager David Artell says that his side suffering rare back-to-back defeats to Barnsley in the FA Cup and league leaders Swindon Town on Saturday does not make his side a bad one overnight.
Crewe have suffered back-to-back defeats just twice this season but they have incorporated cup defeats to Aston Villa and Everton Under-21s and Artell will be aiming to avoid that occurring in league games when Cheltenham travel to Gresty Road this weekend.
The Alex boss told crewealex.net: “We have suffered back to back defeats against a Championship side and the league leaders and although disappointing, it is not terminal.
“It doesn’t make us a bad team overnight and we will have to go back to basics again and not worry too much about it. There is not a lot we can do it about now.
“We may have to restore a bit of belief into them and make sure they know what a good team they are. We will lick our wounds a bit, move on and prepare right for Cheltenham.”
