Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell says he is pleased that going a goal down has not been terminal as much as it was last season.
The Alex have collected 19 points from losing positions this season and that has seen us in the top 7 for much of the campaign.
Crewe have fought back from going a goal down in the last two away fixtures at Macclesfield and Scunthorpe to salvage an away point and that aspect of our play has been encouraging to the manager.
Artell has told crewealex.net: “To get 19 points from losing positions speaks volume for the character of the players. They are a good set and they keep going.
“I wouldn’t want to be in that position in the first place but if we are then they have shown that they are not beaten. We cannot keep underperforming in the first half and go a goal down because that makes it harder.
“What is pleasing is that if we fall a goal behind then it is not terminal. When it went 1-0 against us in the first half of last season, especially away from home then it could be.”
