Alex prepare for re-arranged fixture at Macclesfield
David Artell says his Crewe Alexandra side will be ready for the Cheshire derby at Macclesfield Town on Tuesday evening. The Alex boss says that the games continue to come thick and fast but he says that his squad’s fitness is good as we head to Moss Rose.
Artell told the club’s official website: “The games don’t stop but it is what it is. I am not complaining and these are the games you want to be involved in.
“We have had plenty of games over the last few weeks and we have plenty coming up over the next two or three weeks but we will dust ourselves down and go again.
“That is why what we prepare for in the pre-season, for times like these. We then work to the level in training and the body is very adaptable to demands and conditions.
“You have to assess periods of fatigue and hope that doesn’t build up but the players are coping with the demands on them.
The boss added: “The fitness is good and I would think we are one of the fittest teams in the division.”
