An Update From The Railwaymen Supporters Group

9 January 2020

Crewe Alexandra Football Club have been asked to provide the following update from the Railwaymen Supporters Group

Did you know that the fans currently have an opportunity to get involved in shaping the future of Crewe Alexandra Football Club?

Following the news that Norman Hassall has agreed to sell his stake in Crewe Alexandra, The Railwaymen Supporters Society have been invited to purchase shares in a new company that will own Crewe Alexandra Football Club, the stadium and car park. If successful, the supporters will have a seat on the Crewe Alex board of directors as well as owning a meaningful stake of the club through a democratic structure.

In order to make this happen, you may have seen the phrase #Project250 being used across social media. The minimum target to be raised by the Society is £250,000 and it is hoped the deal can be completed by 31st January 2020, so time is running out. You will be pleased to know that around £132k has already been raised but fans are being urged to come forward now if they don’t want this once in a lifetime opportunity to slip away.

Supporters can purchase Community Shares in multiples of £250 (Tier 1) or £1000 (Tier 2) that both come with different benefits and you can download a Membership form right now from here.

More information can be found by visiting the Railwaymen's website at www.railwaymen.co.uk where the Community Shares Brochure is also available for download.

If you have any questions about taking part in #Project250, supporters can contact the Railwaymen using info@railwaymen.co.uk. They can also be contacted on Facebook and Twitter where you’ll find regular updates from the Railwaymen.”
