Callum Ainley believes that Crewe Alexandra have shown that they are more than capable of going away from home and getting a positive result this weekend.
The Alex youngster has forced his way back into the starting XI with his consistent performers and now the creative midfielder is hoping that the Alex can make a further statement by getting a result at league leaders Swindon.
Ainley, who scored twice at the County Ground in a 4-3 defeat in January 2018, told iFollow the Alex: “What we have done in the first half of the season has put us in a good position. If we can repeat that in the second half of the season then we should be promoted.
“The lads are full of confidence and we feel as though we can get a result against anyone. Last season we didn’t win enough away wins but this season we have put that right and are picking up points regularly.
“Mentally that has changed because you win one, then you win the next one and then you think there is no reason why we cannot win the next one. The confidence grows and we have no fear going away from home now.
Callum added: “Swindon will be tough. They are top of the league but if we can go there and get something then that would be a big statement to the rest of the league. That is what we are aiming to do.”
