Chris Porter scored twice in a behind closed door friendly game with Blackpool as he steps up his return from a hamstring injury.

The club’s leading scorer with 10 goals this season has not featured for the first team since aggravating the muscle in our FA Cup replay against Eastleigh back in December, but we was the surprise inclusion on the bench for last Saturday’s trip to Walsall.

The friendly game was arranged at the club’s Reaseheath training ground to give the likes of Porter and Olly Lancashire some much needed game time.

The match ended in a 2-2 draw with Porter back in the scoring groove with a well taken brace.
