"I Have Faith In Josh Becoming A First Team Player Of The Future"

27 February 2020

David Artell has told the club’s official website that he has complete faith in Josh Lundstram becoming a first-team player here at Crewe Alexandra in the future.

Lundstram has been named on the first team bench on a number of occasions but is yet to make his first-team debut.

Lundstram is currently on loan at Altrincham and has earned promising reviews in regards to his midfield performances.

The 21-year-old from Staffordshire will be hoping the 2020/21 campaign will be his real breakthrough year.

The Crewe Alexandra boss told the club’s official website: “The plan is for Josh to come back and be at the end of his development. We haven’t put him out to roost that is for sure.

“Some of them need to go out on loan, come back and go out again and Josh has done that. Others will only need to go out once because they are at the end of their development.

He added: “Josh is a good player, a really good player, and the plan is for him to become a first-team player in the future. I have faith in that happening."
