Artell: "Saturday Has Gone, It's On To Crawley"

10 February 2020

Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell says that Saturday’s dramatic 2-1 home win over Oldham Athletic is now ‘fish n’ chip paper’.

Charlie Kirk scored a deserved 97th minute winner to cement Crewe’s position in second place in League Two.

The Alex boss says that his players’ focus has quickly switched to tomorrow night’s fixture against Crawley Town.

Artell told the club’s official website: “Saturday has gone and we move forward. We will go through certain clips of the game to help them but the focus in on Crawley.

“I am not complaining and it is nice to score a 97th minute winner but it is chip paper as far as I am concerned. It’s gone and we look forward to Crawley. It is all about following up what we did on Saturday with another three points tomorrow night.

“We dust ourselves down and we go again. That’s football and we have another tough game coming up and will have to be ready.”
