Boss: "Morecambe Is Built On Hard Work"

27 February 2020

David Artell has told the club’s official website that his former club, Morecambe, are improving under Derek Adams. The former Plymouth Argyle man is hoping to steer the Shrimpers to survival again and they face a tense climax to their own season at the other end of the league table.

The Crewe Alexandra boss, who made 129 appearances and scored the last ever goal at the club’s former Christie Park ground, said: “Derek has been in the game long enough and he knows how to set up a team and get results.

“They have brought in some decent players in during January and their home record is good considering where they are. It is never easy going to Morecambe and it’s tough. It is what the club is built on.

“We have had to score some late goals there to get a result so that just shows how hard they work and how tough it is to get a result there.

“They have a decent home record of late and we will have to match their endeavour and work rate, and hope that our quality comes through if we are going to get the three points.”
