Boss: "There Will Be Plenty Of Twists And Turns Yet"

19 February 2020

Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell says there will be plenty of twists and turns in the race to win promotion. Following Plymouth’s 1-1 draw at Macclesfield last night, the Railwaymen remain in third place in the League Two table.

We welcome our Cheshire neighbours to the Alexandra Stadium this weekend and Artell says that it is up to us to take advantage of our good position with 13 games to go.

Ahead of this weekend’s clash against the Silkmen, the boss said: “We are in mid-February and there are plenty of points still up for grabs. There is sure to be a few more twists and turns yet.

“We have got ourselves in a good position but we know it won’t be easy because there are a number of teams wanting the same things we want. To make it a memorable season we will have to finish the job and that is the aim.

“We have to make sure that our performances see us deserve promotion. We have proved we are a match for anyone and we will remain confident.”
