Artell: "Even At 41 Ellison Is Still A Game Changer"

28 February 2020

David Artell says that although the Morecambe forward, Kevin Ellison, may have surpassed his 41st birthday this week, he still provides a major threat and presence when he is on the pitch. Ellison scored in the 2-2 draw against Crewe Alexandra last season and the veteran has scored 87 goals from the Shrimpers.

Ahead of the weekend trip to the Globe Arena, the Alex boss said: “Kev is Morecambe’s own version of Dad’s Army, like we have here with a few of them at Crewe, but he is still a good player and can be a potential match winner.

“He probably hasn’t had as much game time of late, as he would have liked but he is still going strong and if he plays any part then he is a threat.

“Kev is only one of 25 players who will provide some questions and we have to make sure that we come up with the answers.”
