Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell has praised the contribution of the club’s senior Sports Scientist, Liam Anderson, in making his team one of the fittest teams in the division.

The Alex have come back from losing positions on seven occasions and have continued to score late goals to pick up points.

Artell has been pleased with our fitness levels and injury return rate this season and says that Anderson has played a key role in those numbers.

The Crewe Alexandra boss told crewealex.net: “We have a brilliant Sports Scientist here in Liam Anderson and he is a terrific guy as well. He knows his stuff and when he suggests something, he is usually right on the money.

“We are a fit team and have been all year and Liam has played a massive role in that. He has also helped players coming back from injury with the final piece of their rehabilitation, and has them fit and sharp.

“We always value his opinion and he gives us the information and then plot ourselves through it with his input. Liam is a very important member of the team and he deserves a lot of credit.”
