Captain Ng Led By Example In Comeback Win

2 December 2020

Captain Perry Ng led by example in last night’s 4-2 comeback win over Swindon Town, scoring the equaliser with a superb curling shot after Tom Lowery had slipped the ball to him inside the box.

Ng’s strike really swung the game back into our favour and the rampaging full-back was unfortunate not to have scored another when his stunning shot rocked the Swindon box as Crewe went in search of more goals.

Crewe Alexandra boss, David Artell praised his captain’s contribution after he ‘let himself down at the end of the game at Cheltenham’.

Artell told crewealex.net: “Perry played well on Saturday (at Cheltenham). He just let himself down at the end of the game. We will see what comes of that. I have no idea at the minute.

He added: “He did what we expected of him defensively and then contributed in the final third. He did his job and scored the equaliser. He did everything you want from a player and your captain.”
