Four In Four For Action Man Dale

16 December 2020

The in-form Owen Dale notched his fourth goal in four games as he hit the winner against Plymouth Argyle minutes before half time last night. The winger raced onto another excellent pass from Tom Lowery, but he still had a lot to do coming in off his wing position.

After cutting inside past Kall Watts and leaving another body in his wake, his shot may have taken a slight deflection on its way in, but Dale deserved the good fortunate after being bold in his attacking intent.

Artell described the winger as ‘Action Man’ after another exceptional performance from the Alex youngster.

Following the 2-1 win over the Green Army, the boss said of the winger: “It is four in four games from the ‘Action Man.’ That is four different opponents and not a goal and then a break for two games and then another goal. That is four in four and that takes some doing at whatever level you play at.

“He was exceptional in that first 45 minutes and Ryan (Lowe) took the full-back off at half time and changed the shape.

“Owen took his goal really well and it went a long way in helping us win the game.”
