Crewe Alexandra manager David Artell says that it is vital to be able to come back in matches if we are enjoy a successful season. Artell says that you need that resilience and character to fight back after going behind and his Alex side showed that in spades by producing a high class second half performance to eventually defeat Swindon 4-2 on Tuesday night.
Crewe had trailed 2-0 in the first half before Daniel Powell pulled one back, five minutes before the interval.
The Alex boss told crewealex.net: “You need the capability of coming back when you go behind. You need it in your armoury and not let going behind affect you.
“You cannot let going a goal or two goals down to mentally destroy you. That is certainly not the case here now.
He added: “We have lost too many games 1-0 or by the odd goal, for our liking but that is more to do with us not taking our chances. It isn’t about us accepting defeat but we need to keep showing that we can come from behind.”
