David Artell says he is satisfied with the way the first half of the season has gone but he still believes there is more to come from his Alex team.
Crewe are currently 9th in League One and are on a run of three straight wins.
An in-form Crewe host Fleetwood Town on Boxing Day.
Artell told the club’s official website: “Our form has been good, especially of late and the stats show that we have one of the best home records over the last couple of season but we have to keep that going.
“There is always room for improvement. Our home record is not as good as Liverpool’s is it? There is no let-up in the games and we have to keep it going.
“We have done alright so far but like I’ve been saying, no-one gets carried away here or ahead of ourselves.
“We have to continue to be strong at home and that continues against Fleetwood on Boxing Day. We have 13 home games left and we want to win as many as we can.
“The players know the standards we set here and we have to keep pushing forward as a group.”
