Crewe Alexandra’s attacking midfielder, Callum Ainley, has successfully undergone surgery on his injured hamstring. Ainley travelled to London for the operation and will now begin his rehabilitation with head physio, Owen Clarke, and then lead Sports Scientist, Liam Anderson.
Ainley, 23, suffered the grade 3 injury just minutes into our FA Cup defeat at Cheltenham Town and had to be replaced by Oli Finney.
The Swindon-born youngster has made 19 appearances this season, mainly as an impact substitute and he has made 198 appearances in all competitions for the club.
Everyone at Crewe Alexandra wishes Callum a speedy recovery.
