Crewe set to be without talented youngster for a few months following hamstring injury.
Crewe Alexandra are set to lose attack-minded midfielder Callum Ainley for a substantial period of time after a scan on his hamstring injury revealed a grade 3 tear.
Ainley suffered the injury in the opening minutes of our FA Cup defeat to Cheltenham Town and had to be replaced by Oli Finney.
The 23-year-old playmaker, who has featured in 10 games this season, is set to undergo surgery and is expected to be out for a number of months.
He is the second Crewe player to suffer a serious hamstring injury this season, after defender Donervon Daniels suffered a similar injury.
Everyone at Crewe wishes Callum a speedy recovery from the first real injury set-back of his career.
