Crewe Alexandra will continue to gear up their pre-season training programme as they are set to play three games in a week.
The boss confirmed on Saturday afternoon after the Barnsley game that his squad are set to travel away from Reaseheath to gain more match fitness.
Artell said: "We've got Newcastle United at their training ground in York, then we've got Wolves Under-23s at Lilleshall on Wednesday and we'll head to Bolton on Friday at the University of Bolton Stadium.
"There's three away games, all of differing standards and it's going to be a test for them."
With The Railwaymen on the road for the majority of the week, it is likely to reduce the amount of time Artell will be able to focus on the tactical element of training.
The gaffer added: "There's not much training, which is a down side, but we've got a couple in there and all the next week too.
"At this stage, it's more about refinements rather than implementing stuff and to finish some set piece work. Then hopefully we'll be good to go."
