Kirk: "Self-Isolation Has Been Harder Than Expected"

3 April 2020

Kirk missing training and playing football after season put on hold.

Charlie Kirk has admitted to the club’s official website that he has found self-isolation ‘tougher than he expected’.

The Alex wide man, who tops the division for assists, and has struck 9 goals so far this season, says that he has found it a struggle at times because he is missing the everyday routine of training and playing football.

Kirk, 22, told crewealex.net: “It has not been too bad. All you can do is self-isolate and do the odd run as part of your exercise. It has properly been tougher than I expected. It can be a struggle at times because you cannot go out and you tend to miss the things you take for granted, like training every day.

“You just have to get on with it and try and not have head loss. Everyone is in the same boat and you just have to make the best of things because there is nothing we can do.”
