Kirk Thankful That Pixie Was In His 'Scouting Group'

3 April 2020

Always good value, Kirk praises his team-mates work ethic off the pitch just as much as on it!

Crewe Alexandra winger, Charlie Kirk, took time out of self-isolation to communicate with the club’s supporters and the 22-year-old is always good value for adding some humour into his interviews.

Kirk, who has scored 9 goals this season and must be in contender for the Player-of-the-Year honour at the end of the season, was his engaging himself again when asked about his ‘scouting work.’

Each of the Crewe players has been placed in a group of 3 to come up with the strengths and weaknesses of the opposition.

They have to study one of our remaining nine opponents and report back to the management team with their findings.

Kirk told us that he was lucky enough to be in the same three as the studious Harry Pickering!

“It has been good and it helps to have those little chats with the gaffer and Kenny (Lunt). They want to know how you are and what you have been doing and it’s good. They don’t forget about you’, says Charlie.

“We had a chat yesterday as our group and it was good. We went through the work we did, or I should say Pixie did for me! It wasn’t treated all too serious and was all good fun and Pixie did my work as per usual!”
