Crewe Alexandra are hoping to return to winning ways at home after the 3-2 reverse against Cambridge last weekend fresh off an impressive three points from the trip to Leyton Orient in midweek.
The match is the first professional meeting between the two sides after the Ammies' promotion from the National League last season.
After a dream start to life in League Two with an opening day victory over Stevenage, Salford now sit 16th in the table with 11 points from their opening nine games.
Crewe are currently sitting pretty in second place in League Two having enjoyed six wins from nine & are looking to keep the good form going heading into the Salford game.
The Alex's Under 18s did meet Salford at the Penninsula Stadium in the second round of the FA Youth Cup last season, winning 2-1 thanks to goals from Connor Heath and former scholar Malachi Linton.
