David Artell has hailed the club’s ‘magnificent supporters' after almost 300 of them converged on London to help us get another three away points at the home of Leyton Orient.
Artell was delighted that James Jones’ last minute winner sent our travelling contingent home happy following a 2-1 win over the O’s. The result sent us in 2nd spot in the League Two table.
Artell told the club’s official website: “The fans were magnificent again for us and I actually think I am repeating myself. I am just glad we were able to send them home happy.
“There was a number of them outside the ground at half six when we arrived and I just thought that was terrific. To have almost 300 of them in London on a Tuesday night is a terrific effort and they were right behind us. They were not edgy and they certainly were not as edgy as myself and Kenny (Lunt).
The boss added: “I know a lot of them had work in the morning. I did too. I had to be at St. George’s Park for 9am so I know it is hard after only a few hours’ sleep and I can only thank them for their terrific support on Tuesday night.”
