Artell Pleased With Relatively Good Start

23 September 2019

David Artell says he is pleased with the start we have made in the opening 10 games of the season but stresses that it is still very early days in League Two.

Crewe enjoyed their most emphatic win of the campaign so far against Salford City on Saturday and the 4-1 win cemented our place in second spot behind Exeter City but the Crewe boss says no-one is getting carried away at Gresty Road.

Following our 4-1 win at the Alexandra Stadium, the boss said: “It’s 10 games and 21 points and that is a decent start.

“Time flies and I think it has gone quickly. It is ten down, 36 to go and we have to keep it going. It is not easy. Nothing in professional sport is easy but if we keep working hard and continue to do what we are doing then we have half a chance.

“We have to keep it going. It's the old cliche, each game at a time, and keep on churning out results.”
