David Artell believes that his Crewe Alexandra side have shown that they can stand up the direct and physical approach from opponents.
The Crewe boss feels that his side have added that real resilience to their game and that the improvement has been made over the last couple of years.
Artell told crewealex.net: “Two years ago, we may have lost that game at Orient and not have shown the resilience to have gone on and win the game late on.
“The Cambridge game the same. We could have gone on to lose that 3-0 with ten men a couple of years ago but instead we gave it a right good go and took the lead.
“The players have got a real fight about them not to get beat and have shown that we can come back from behind.
“They have shown that they can stand up to the direct, physical stuff and it should be a compliment to us that teams are playing a low block against us because they know that we have the players who can keep the ball and play round them or through them.
“When teams try to be physical and direct, the standard League Two stuff, it is not fatal to us.“
