Daniel Powell fully expects this weekend’s opponents Swindon Town to be serious promotion contenders.
Powell, 28, scored his first goal for the club in the 4-2 win at Carlisle United last weekend and the former Northampton and MK Dons winger is expecting another difficult game this weekend.
Ahead of this weekend’s clash with 7th placed Robins, Powell told crewealex.net: “I think Swindon will be up there, probably top seven. I am not sure about the top three but it is still very early in the season.
“They are a good team and have experienced players, so it should be another good game at home.
“We are in good form at the moment and the confidence is high, so we have to carry on as we have been doing.
Powell added: “I know that the lads struggled to win away last season but we have put that aside now and if we can get our home form to match what we did last season then we have a great chance.”
