Defender Nicky Hunt will face a run against time to be fit to face Colchester United tomorrow evening. Hunt was forced off with a knee injury in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Swindon Town and had to be replaced by Olly Lancashire at the heart of the Alex defence.

Lancashire has had his own injury concerns since signing from Swindon in the summer but he came through his first appearance since Exeter City earlier in the month playing over 70 minutes.

David Artell briefed the media this morning: “The swelling has gone down a bit on Nicky’s knee, so we will keep an eye of it. We will see how he is when he wakes up tomorrow and take it from there.

“I don’t think it will be anything long term even if he doesn’t make it tomorrow night. There are one or two where the game may come too quickly for them but we will see how they are before making a final decision.”
