Crewe Alexandra boss, David Artell, expects another tough away assignment at Carlisle United this weekend. Crewe will come up against our former loanee striker Harry McKirdy, who has been in good form for the Cumbrians since moving on a loan deal from Aston Villa in the summer.
Ahead of our trip north, Artell told crewealex.net: “Carlisle is always a tough place to go. They have a good manager and some good players, players like Hallam Hope and Harry McKirdy, who we know about. They have a few more as well all over the pitch.
“If that means they get it right and have a successful season? I don’t know. I hope it is happens for them after Saturday.
“Any team in this league can beat anyone on their day and we know that. No one would have predicted Grimsby winning away at Exeter the other week but they did.
The boss added: “We will go there looking to win the game. It is usually a good pitch, a big pitch and they have a good support, so it should be a good game.”
