Boss: "I Am Still After A Lot More"

11 October 2019

Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell says that he has been satisfied with the way the first quarter of the season has gone but he is still striving for more from his squad. The Alex are currently in fourth spot in League Two and will be looking to go six unbeaten with another positive result at Carlisle this weekend.

Artell told the club’s official website: “We are currently in the 4th best place we can be so there is always room for improvement. I am still after more, I think every manager is.

“We have to continue doing what we are doing. We have to perform well in the game and win them. If we can keep doing that then we will see where that takes us.

“We are a quarter of the games through, so there is three quarters to go. If we are up there with 12 games to go then we have a terrific chance.

“There is always room for improvement. I would like us to stop conceding first, conceding early goals,  conceding from set-pieces, not to get red and yellow cards…there is always something. “
