Boss wants to send our fans away extra happy on Saturday evening
Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell says that he wants his side to make our fan base happy by sending us top of the league on Saturday.
The Railwaymen host the leaders Exeter City and Artell says that nothing would give him more pleasure than to see our fans go home on Saturday evening with us top of the tree at this early stage of the season.
Ahead of our top of the table clash against the Grecians, Artell told us: “I think you have to be fulfilled in your job. I was reading the other day that 85% of Americans are not in their dream job. That must be tough. That is just going to work.
“I am in my dream job because we can have a positive impact on a lot of people. We can send 5,000 people home happy on Saturday because their club is top of the league. I want them to proud of our club. We have had a tough time over the last few years, so what an opportunity it is for us to produce some positivity.
“We have had another tough week with the death of David (Rowlinson) so there is no better motivation for me to go top of the league for him.
He added: “It would be a great way to remember him and what he did for our club by saying there you go, we are top of the league.”
