Artell On His Respect For Exeter As A Club

3 October 2019

David Artell is a huge admirer of Exeter City and the way their club is run. The Alex boss obviously wants to get the three points this weekend and in the process leapfrog the Grecians into top spot in League Two.

Ahead of this weekend’s top of the table clash at Gresty Road, Artell told of his respect for their boss Matt Taylor and the stability of our visitors.

Artell told the club’s official website: “Exeter are a good team and they have a very good manager in Matt. They have a stable board and a good board.

“They are a club build on stability now. They had a very good manager in Paul (Tisdale) and they have another one now. Matt has been able to put his own ideas over. They have lost some good players since he took over, but they have overcome that and are top of the league on merit.

“It is a tough assignment for us this weekend but make no mistake about it, we want to win the game and go to the top of the league.

The Crewe boss added: “These are the challenges and the games you want as a player and as a manger. I am sure everyone is looking forward to it.”
