Match Preview: Crewe Host Port Vale in Derby Clash

1 November 2019

After last weekend’s postponed fixture, Crewe Alexandra remain top of the SkyBet League Two table heading into tomorrow’s derby clash against Port Vale.

Dave Artell’s side are still eight games unbeaten in all competitions, and a win on Saturday would be the Alex’s tenth league victory of the season in just 16 matches.

Crewe have not beaten the Valiants at the last four attempts however, with the home side’s last victory over Port Vale coming in a 1-0 win in August 2017.

Saturday’s opponents currently sit eleventh in the League Two table, with 22 points after 16 games.

While the Alex’s match against Forest Green Rovers was postponed last weekend, Port Vale played out a goalless draw against Oldham Athletic.

Date: Saturday 02 November 2019
