David Artell says that John Coleman philosophy is firmly ingrained in the DNA of Accrington Stanley. Crewe Alexandra travel to the Wham Stadium this weekend trying to inflict an FA Cup upset on the League One side and the Alex boss expects a tough test against Coleman’s hard working side.
Ahead of our FA Cup first round tie, Artell told the club’s official website: “John Coleman is in the DNA of Accrington Stanley. They work hard, they get after you and they get in your faces.
“They also play some good stuff and it is always a tough game against John and his Accrington side. They did terrific job a couple of years ago to win this league and they have more than held their own in League One.
“It’s the FA Cup, they are at home and they will come flying at us but we have to be ready for that.
“It is what it is but we are in good form. We have lost 1 in ten games, so we feel that if we play to our potential then we can give anyone a game.
He added: "We gave Aston Villa a game earlier in the season and it was only their clinical edge and ruthlessness that proved the difference. We gave a real go and we will do the same this weekend."
